Hemlock Campire!

Another rain-free day at Camp Wildwood and the first day of inter-camp! That’s how we refer to competitions against neighboring camps. A full camp meeting and a reading of the ball scores and other news at the flag pole was followed up by sausage and egg wraps plus fruit, yogurt and cereal. From there, everyone went down to the bunks to clean before morning activities.

We got the summer started with a 16U Basketball Tournament. The boys played great and went 3-1 on the day with their only loss coming by one in OT. Back at camp, junior campers participated in pickle ball, tennis, soccer, fishing, baseball, basketball and arts and crafts. Senior campers were busy with basketball, soccer, archery, swimming, arts and crafts, tennis and baseball. There were also some Oaks and Sycamores who took a hike with T and his crew. We had grilled cheese and tomato soup plus chips, veggies and salad for lunch followed by rest hour.

For dinner, we enjoyed Friday Pizza Night w/chocolate milk. Every Friday night we meet as a whole camp down by the campfire and one group entertains us with games and skits. Tonight it was the Hemlocks or the 10 year olds. They were so great! And funny! But just at the end, we were interrupted by deputy Bryce who had a message for Camp Wildwood. They were in danger from a group of mobsters. A chase ensued and the break was ON! Or was it?! A fake break?! THIS CAN’T BE COLOR WAR! See you tomorrow!
