Lazy Sunday

Sundays are a little difference at Camp Wildwood. It’s the only day of the week that we do not blow reveille. Instead, we turn on SportsCenter up at the lodge and open a buffet breakfast from 8:30 to 9:15. Today we had pancakes and sausage plus fruit, yogurt and cereal for breakfast. Then everyone cleaned their bunks for Sunday Super Inspection (worth two points!).

Sadly, it was also a mostly a rainy day schedule. But, at Wildwood we do like to say it never rains. Junior campers were still able to stay busy in the morning. They rotated through tennis, basketball, dodgeball, handball and knock out in the gym. Senior campers braved the early rain with an outdoor handball tournament. We had BLTs plus chips, veggies and salad for lunch followed by an extended rest hour. In the afternoon, junior campers watched a movie and senior campers played basketball, pickle ball and futsal in the gym.

For dinner, we enjoyed cheese ravioli with string beans, Brussels Sprouts and baked rolls. Exciting day of activities and inter-camp on tap for tomorrow. Have a great night!
