Field Day
It was another great day at Camp Wildwood and a number of boys participated in a special field day with Camp Winaukee. Our 10s and 12s had an early breakfast and went there for soccer, hoops and pickleball. In return, they sent their 13s and 15s our way for football, hoops and pickleball. Top highlight of the day was when Will P. put in the final PK to win the 10s soccer match. We got great footage. Here a camp, the day started at the flagpole for announcements and ball scores. Then after breakfast tacos and hash browns plus cereal, fruit and oatmeal, everyone went down to bunk to clean up for the day.
The day was filled with activities like arts and crafts, volleyball, ping pong archery, climbing, BMX, tennis, swimming and wiffleball. The ice hockey crew even had an afternoon practice in advance of the first ever ice hockey inter-camp on Monday! For lunch we had shrimp poboys with fries plus veggies and celery.
After a delicious pot roast dinner, it was the Oaks turn to entertain us at the campfire. All of the boys did an amazing job and there were a ton of laughs! They enjoyed a s’mores treat afterwards as their reward for such a great performance. A very well deserved lazy Sunday morning upcoming! See you tomorrow.
