BUNK LIFE

A unique feature of Camp Wildwood is our Maine lakefront bunk living. Our boys and staff wake up each morning to a sunrise lake view and go to bed each night as the sun sets over the mountains. Our cabin life is cherished as a special time for our boys to bond with each other and to forge lasting summer camp memories.

Louis and Chelsey place the boys in such a way to promote a strong sense of family by considering each boys unique interests, personalities, schools, and home backgrounds. The bunk is the place where a new day begins and ends. It is in the bunks where the boys experience a true sense of trust, community and confidence by sharing stories and accomplishments from their summer days, by learning from each other and their counselors, by playing games and by creating lifelong bonds. Another personal touch at Camp Wildwood that we are extremely proud of is that we visit the bunks each night to get the pulse of our campers, to check in on a personal basis and to say goodnight.

Each of our bunks is fully equipped with power, plumbing, and plenty of storage for each boy to create their own space. There are no bunk beds so each area is truly their own. Campers will find shower houses only steps away from their bunks. With safety being our top priority, we staff our bunks with at least two counselors to best ensure active supervision 24 hours each day.

While Camp Wildwood families are mainly from the East Coast, we have a large California contingent as well as campers from seventeen states around the country and a small group of international campers.

SCREEN FREE

We are extremely proud of our successful history of providing amazing and genuine screen free summer experiences for our boys.  Please understand that our philosophy is that summer camp is the best place to unplug, unwind, and be present with our summer family. This includes: no iPods, no iTouches, no cell phones without SIM cards, or any other device with a screen and/or connectivity.  While we are aware there are limited options these days for devices without screens, we have a list of best options for our boys that we would be happy to share.
